Pokemon unveiled the mysterious Pokemon from Pokemon GO

Last Saturday was the Chikorita community day for Pokemon GO, in which during a certain period, Chikorita spawn rate will be greatly increased, also evolving into Meganium will learn Frenzy Plant, a community day exclusive charged move for Venusaur and Meganium. Also, community day event is also a way Niantic introduce shiny Pokemon into the game.

Chikorita is really a cute starter Pokemon, while its shiny form looks pretty great as well. Personally, I have picked Chikorita as my starter in the Johto games I used to play (Pokemon Silver, Crystal, Heart Gold and Soul Silver), even though it is not great for battling compare to Cyndaquil and Totodile. This is also the same case for Chikorita in Pokemon GO. It has pretty low max CP, also not great as an attacker or a defender. That's why this particular community day is not as popular as any previous community day.

Here is a cute shiny Chikorita I caught. That gold accent is perfect for grass type Pokemon, reminds me of autumn.

But Pokemon and Niantic have planned something to hype the upcoming Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee title during this community day event. Right after the community day event ends, silhouette of a mysterious Pokemon is everywhere. Catching those Pokemon will eventually turned into Ditto. This phenomenon had literally turned the whole Pokemon GO community crazy, everyone was sharing about this new mysterious Pokemon. Chikorita, who was supposed to be the star of this community day event, was overshadowed by this new mysterious Pokemon.

No one knows anything about this mysterious Pokemon, and all we can confirmed is that it must be a Gen 8 Pokemon. And yesterday, Pokemon, Niantic and Nintendo decided to hype all of the Pokemon fans again on Twitter. And a while later they finally revealed the identity of this new mysterious Pokemon.

The mysterious Pokemon appeared in Pokemon GO happen to be a mythical Pokemon named Meltan. Meltan is a steel type mythical Pokemon. Meltan has a head like a nut of the screw with an eye in it, a body like Ditto kind of fluid but in silver color, also a red tail.

So it is believed Meltan might be the obtainable special Pokemon from present for linking Pokemon GO with Pokemon Let's Go title that was first introduced in the first Pokemon Let's Go trailer.
